Determined at the START of the game. 13+ players: Minimum of 1 at bat

NO Courtesy Runners are allowed. Special Pinch Runner ONCE/inning (Twice/game in tournament play). Any player not in Batting Order may run. Player can only be removed for a Special Pinch Runner ONCE/game.

Pitchers
Batting Glove under Pitcher's Glove is OK; NOT white, grey or optic yellow; Pitchers glove NOT white, grey (or optic yellow for SB). Sunglasses are OK. The pitcher's undershirt sleeves, if exposed, NOT white or gray. Neoprene sleeves worn by a pitcher, must be covered by an undershirt. NO sweatbands on either arm.
Umpire sole judge if items on pitcher are distracting.

Throwing the bat (unless intentional) is NEVER an OUT.
Warn player for first offense, then ejection for later offenses. Warnings are per player, NOT a team warning

First base CAN be overrun on a walk. Batter-runner may turn LEFT or RIGHT after overrunning first base. Only if Batter-runner makes an attempt toward 2nd base has he/she lost overrun protection.

Head First Slides are NOT ALLOWED (automatic out) when advancing. Head First Slide IS NOT a trip, stumble, crawl to base, hands touch before feet.

Pitch Hits Batter
NO rule for the number of Batters a Pitcher may hit with pitches to force removal as a pitcher.

Pitches on Ground
Pitches that hit the ground ARE NOT dead balls. Batter may swing, hit, foul off, etc.
Batter hit by bouncing pitch IS awarded first base (unless batter was swinging).

Dropped Third Strike
Batter Out
Swinging or Called Strike 3. Batter OUT if 1st base is occupied, at time of pitch, with less than
2 outs. If 1st unoccupied or two outs, batter becomes runner and defense must put out.
2.0 FAIR Territory
Home Plate
Home Plate is in FAIR territory. Balls hitting the plate ARE NOT Dead. Batter stepping on the plate IS NOT automatically out.

Batters Box
The Batter's Box IS NOT a safety zone for the batter. The batter must attempt to vacate the batter's box to avoid interference with a play. Batter MAY be called out for failure to avoid the interference.

After entering the batter's box the batter must remain in the box with at least one foot throughout the at bat (with exceptions) Penalty: Warn batter, then automatic strike.
